African Safari!

This week Duck class started their journey around the world by learning about Africa. We began by reading Handa's Surprise and learning about the different fruits Handa takes to Akeyo. The children particularly enjoyed our Rainbow Talk session this week where we used our senses to explore some of the fruits in the story. All of the children tasted some mango, pineapple and avocado - although some were enjoyed more than others! We have also been learning about African animals through the story We All Went on Safari. We talked about what you might need to take with you to go on safari and then the children went on their own safari around school to see what animals they could spot!
