Bedouin Weaving

Date: 30th Mar 2022 @ 3:55pm

This week we have been learning about Saudi Arabia in Duck class. We have been reading stories about what it is like for Muslims to go to Mosque and the children were really interested in finding out about the desert in Saudi Arabia. Today we learnt about Bedouin Weaving, one of Saudi Arabia's oldest forms of traditional weaving. We looked at some photos and watched a video of some women weaving on their looms. We had a go at doing some weaving of our own, using paper strips to make some simple mats. The children did a fantastic job!
