Brilliant Bolsover

We had a wonderful day at Bolsover Castle in Y1 - we even managed to dodge the rain! We had a wander around the beautiful garden first, and admired the cheeky fountain! Then we climbed up and walked around the walls, imagining what it would have been like if we were Kings or Queens! Next we admired the amazing view, and went inside the Little Castle. We explored some fabulous rooms, and all the while we were searching for 2d shapes. We found squares, rectangles, circles, semi-circles, triangles, and even an oval, a hexagon and an octagon! After lunch we visited the equestrian centre, dressed up in the museum, and finally had a play in the playground as the sun came out!
