Creating a miniature planet in Y4... update!

We are doing some science in Y4 today creating our own miniature planet! We put some soil in a plant pot, added some cress seeds and some water, and covered it with cling film - this acts as the atmosphere on our planet. Within our planets, we have created the water cycle. The water will evaporate, and then condense on the cling film, and then it will drop down as if it was raining. Hopefully in a few days we will see the seedlings appear, without us having watered them! We're monitoring our pots 3 times a week, and keeping a record of the growth. We'll add an update to let you know!

Our miniature planets are surviving well! The water cycle means that our seeds were watered, have germinated, and have grown amazingly well!
