Y1's Trip to Longshaw

Date: 4th Dec 2018 @ 3:33pm

Y1 had an amazing time today at Longshaw. The weather was perfect - crisp and frosty, and there was even a little snow on the ground once we got off the bus at Fox House! We listened to a lovely story, did some fabulous festive crafts, and then went out in the cold to find a tree that was the same size as us - it was easier for some than others! Then it was time for us to choose the perfect tree for school. It didn't take too long to find it (it had to be the same height as Mrs P!) so then we went back inside for our lunch. Later, we went out again to play some games, and have fun learning about how animals adapt to cope with our cold winters. We leant what deer do to keep warm, what squirrels do with their nuts, how doormice keep cosy, and lots more! Finally we got the bus back to school. What a busy day!
