Y2 - Autumn Walk - A Wonderful Woodland World

Date: 2nd Oct 2019 @ 12:55pm

Today, Y2 have been super adventurous, and walked through the Highcliffe woods looking for Autumnal signs. We found lichen and moss, tree bark, berries - red hawthorn bushes, blackberries and snowberries. We found things that had fallen from the trees - chestnuts, beech nuts and acorns. We saw things growing and finsihing in the allotments, including sunflowers, rhubarb, and even some carrot!

We enjoyed squelching in the mud, avoiding the new streams that were running down the footpaths (as we've had so much rain!!) and stepping across stepping stones.

Thank you so much to Mrs Moore, Mrs Wiffen and Rosie for coming with us!

We're collected lots of things to make conker creatures and Autumn bookmarks with next week in challenge time.
