Young Leaders Award Paper Bag Challenge

Today we had a noisy afternoon doing our Young Leaders Award scrapbooks. Firstly we thought about what we know about justice, and then moved on to our needs versus wants, which provoked a lot of debate! Next we recreated life in Kalkota in India, where we work in a factory making paper bags, earning a paltry 1 rupee for ten bags. We soon realised that this was not only hard work and stressful, but unjust and very frustrating! We then calculated if we would earn enough in one week to feed our families, and realised how tough and even impossible it can be to make ends meet.
