Christmas Preparations

We are very busy getting ready for Christmas in Y2. We have made some salt dough ornaments, decorated the tree in the hall and started our Christmas cards. Our nativity rehearsals are well under way, and Miss Fox's cauldron is looking fabulous. We are also busy recording our Christmas song and message for the care home Christmas project organised across Sheffield by Polly Ives. Our partner care home will be Grange Crescent residential home.  

This afternoon we interviewed Rosie all about the wise men and the gifts they brought Jesus. We learnt about why the wise men chose gold, frankincense and myrrh and what they symbolise. We listened to Rosetti's 'In the Bleak Midwinter' to think about what Christians believe is the best gift to give Jesus and drew some hearts of our own.
