Some very exciting visitors!

Duck class were very excited last week when we had some special visitors to the class! The children were delighted when in walked a policeman and policewoman. The police told us about the different parts of their jobs and the way they helped people. They showed us some of the things they carry with them to help them do their job. The children had lots of questions for them and were particularly interested in catching bad guys! We then went outside and found a police car and a police van. The children were absolutely thrilled when they were able to take turns in each vehicle and very much enjoyed getting the sirens going! The children enjoyed trying on different hats, holding the shield and having a go at hitting the shield with a baton. Mrs Hamblin ended up in big trouble and got handcuffed and put in jail inside the police van! The children all thought this was very funny! We had an excellent afternoon and learnt a lot about how super the police really are.
