Winter Warmer Soup Making in Y6 (First Half)

The Y6's have been thinking about where their food comes from, and the benefits of using sustainable and local ingredients. They had already decided on the vegetables they would use, and had agreed on cauliflower, turnip, celery and potaoes. We had a fabulous afternoon peeling, chopping, stirring, simmering.... and finally tasting our soup. It looked an unusual colour, but the overall opinion was that it was DELICIOUS!  Afterwards we evaluated our recipe, and came up with a few tweaks. Next week we will hopefully create the perfect soup!
