September in Y2 - Scarecrows, plums and flying machines

We have had a fabulous couple of weeks. Not only have we been working hard on phonics, maths and writing... but we have built a scarecrow for the Nether Edge Festival (we think Mr McGregor is amazing!), collected all the plums from the tree (ready for crumble making next week), and found out lots about DaVinci and his flying machines. We have all made parachutes, cup-copters and sycamore spinners. This week we have done some incredible technical drawings for our own flying machines. Y2 are the best inventors!
