Y6's trip to Crucial Crewe

Date: 23rd Jun 2022 @ 3:47pm

We've had a life-changing day today in Y6! We've learnt many life skills and taken part in scenarios that should help keep us safe us in our future choices. The centre was set up like a film set, with a police station, hospital, magistrates court, park, shops and a road. Within these different areas we took part in scenarios led by police security support officers, members of the fire service, a magistrate, and the Sheffield road safety officer, as well as other volunteers. They involved arson, child crime, bullying, hate crime, road safety, and home fire safety. Some things were familiar, others were new to us, but we all learnt some valuable lessons about how our choices and actions could lead to more serious issues. Despite the seriousness of the content, we also had fun. It's a day that we will remember for a long time!
